Our story goes back to years ago when we were students at the university…

In the beginning…

Our story goes back many years, when we were university students. In those days, we were working on a university project about a drone that could be guided without radio control. Our initial team consisted of a group of friends with experience in drone construction and design.

Due to our family background, we had directly experienced the hardships of farming in the countryside. When the first ideas of using drones in the agricultural industry emerged in the world, we were very impressed. This became a very powerful motivation to start our business in this field. Initially, we started with commercially available parts on the market and carried out our first spraying operations.

Finally, in 2019, we founded our own company and named it Oj Aseman Zagros.

Our name…

Zagros is the name of a large mountain range in our country that stretches from north to south. Zagros and its vast mountains have a tremendous impact on the formation of civilizations, rivers and agriculture in Iran. “Oj Aseman Zagros” means the height of the sky of Zagros.

What we have been doing…

In recent years, we have been engaged in spraying, manufacturing, sales and after-sales services in the fields of spraying and seeding in various regions. The area of ​​land receiving our drone spraying services is several thousand hectares annually, and dozens of sprayers in different models are sold to applicant teams.

In 2022, we participated in the operation to combat the locust invasion in the Zagros forests in southwestern Iran and participated in spraying thousands of hectares of inaccessible forests and pastures in the region.

Our R&D team…

We did not stop at just manufacturing and servicing. From the very beginning, we tried to gradually design the basic parts of the system so that we could be more independent from component suppliers. We also had ideas that commercial components on the market could not fulfill. So we tried to develop parts of the unmanned aerial vehicle subsystems. This gradual effort initially led to the construction of the body and frame of heavy-duty drones.

We then developed centrifugal nozzles. New anti-collision systems based on optical and acoustic sensors with the ability to connect to commercial flight control systems were other achievements of our research and development teams.

We eventually entered the customization of flight control systems and used them in civilian applications. New areas of artificial intelligence and digital image analysis for industrial areas such as reducing methane gas leakage in pipelines are among our other plans. Designing and producing new drones with multiple uses has been part of our projects for years, and each time we have tried to make a better product and use previous experiences.

The firefighter drone is a good example of a product that has been built with fewer weaknesses and better parameters than previous models. Tethered or battery-based models, connected to a ground tank or portable tank models, and various measurement sensors are some of the things that have been modified in the firefighter drone over time. Our expert teams include experienced engineers in the fields of mechanics, electronics, and aerospace, and are always highly motivated to build new systems to solve real-world challenges.
